Business suit. Look as professional as you can. No cologne.

i'm assuming you are a male from your avatar. dress as professional as possible. for office jobs, wear a suit and tie or if you don't have one or it's not clean or whatever, wear a dress shirt and pants. make sure your clothes are ironed and clean. spray on a little (very little!) cologne and make sure your hair is neatly combed. it's never a bad idea to wear a suit. you're not going to be overdressed.

remember you're trying to match the dress of the interviewer, not the workers.

for builder type jobs or hourly jobs, you should still at the very least wear slacks and a dress shirt. a suit is still not entirely inappropriate here.

don't wear jeans or t-shirts, ever. also avoid sandals, flip flops, or open toed shoes of any kind.

good luck!

It usually depends on the climate established within the place of employment.

The majority of the times that I've been interviewed I have asked the person calling me about how I should dress.

I would definately go business casual at a minimum.

What is the position you're interviewing for?

Call the company and ask.

If you are interviewing outside of your current company I would suggest business office. If you are interviewing for another position at the company you are now employed, business casual.

If you are a woman, please consider wearing a skirt or dress , if you are going to wear pants, make sure you are wearing a pants suit or at least a blazer. If you are a man, slacks, shirt and tie at a minimum, sports coat would be appropriate. Its always better to overdress a little bit, it shows respect for the interviewer and the importance of the job to you.

Dont go casual for an interview, even if the office is "business casual".
But be comfortable with what you wear. Dont fidget.

you will want to dress for the type of position you are applying for. for example, if you were applying for a construction job, go in khaki's and a button up shirt. office assistant, a suit would be better. if you dont own a suit, do khaki's a shirt, tie (men) and a neutral jacket. never go in jeans (for any position), sneakers, crazy hair, loud jewelry, clown makeup. do a little homework on the company to be on the safe side and then dress a level above that.

Well, If I were you, depending on the kind of interview, I'd go with semi- formal. Really nice pants, and a nice shirt. That's just me. Okay? Okay. Good luck.
