The best way to change your style is to change the way you think of yourself. You sound like I did when I was in school. I was kind of quiet and didn't get any of the boys attention that I wanted and I was always very worried about how others saw me. I couldn't afford to buy the clothes that the popular kids had and then one day I just got sick and tired of trying so hard to be what fit in that I just started being me and feeling confident in who I was and what I had to work with and I guess that self confidence showed because without changing my look or my clothes I started to get more attention. Self confidence can work wonders. If you have a scar on your face, it adds character. If you have a few pimples, your a teen, look at the other kids in your school, they all have a few pimples. Practice different ways to apply your make up at home until you find a look that hides what you want hidden and highlights what you want to show off. Feel good about what you have and who you are and let it show that you feel good about it and things will change.

Physically looking different is only one part of the equation, a great deal of it comes from your overall attitude. First: physically. Witch hazel (you can get it in drug stores) worked wonders for my skin, and it's really great for bruises too, so you might be able to ask someone in your family to buy it since it will benefit everyone. Mixing and matching clothes is a GREAT idea and it makes it look like you have a lot more outfits than you do. Try mixing one focal piece with your staples. Like a bright top with jeans. Or a fabulous belt with a more subdued outfit.
Now, for the attitude. Go into school feeling like a million dollars. Thoughts become things. If you think that you're incredible and look fabulous, then other people will start to look at you in the same way. Start today, before you get into school, so that you're already thinking it when you start as if it's second nature. Think only good things about yourself (even if you don't quite believe it yet, tell yourself how amazing you are every single day and you WILL start to believe it). Visualize what you want daily and believe that you have it. Don't let one bad thing ruin your day and your thinking. So what if your hair doesn't look perfect? So what if you run into a wall (seriously, I do that frequently)? So what if you can't find a pencil when you need one? It's only one thing, don't let it control your mood for the rest of the day. When you're getting ready for school in the morning, put on songs that make you happy or make you feel amazing. It will set your mood for the rest of the day. People are attracted to those who are happy and positive. Start out the year that way, and you'll be amazed at the difference that it makes.
Hope that helps, have fun with it and happy new year!!

There is some really neat advice here. If you are worried about your skin, best to see your doctor. I suffered with acne for years before I did anything about it. He put me on some meds and I look back wondering why I waited so long to do anything about it.
Your doc will also be able to tell you whether you actually have acne or just a few pimples related to being a teenager. And know how to treat it. Whether it be a certain face wash or meds.
If you do suffer from acne, best to steer clear of all these so called Acne treatment wash. They will only aggrevate it more. So once more, seek your doc and she what he/she has to say.
And relax, be your self. Those who dont accept you for YOU aint worth knowing anyway.

look into the facial peel kits at the drug store. loreal and a few other make them. about $30 i think. would help with the pimples and pigmentation issues. i would say go to a salon, but since you don't have the means the OTC ones are an option, you may have to do a series of them each week for a month to get a comparable result though but it will help.

try looking a little more feminine. Shop at A&F or Hollister focus more on the shirts than jeans because you notice them more. For acne & scars try neutrogena products or maybe going to a dermatologist.
