Yeah I know it's after 9pm (watershed) but my 11 yr old son loves fantasy figures & monsters. All the write ups I've seen refer to it as a new SEXY even erotic version of an old tale etc..etc..
How sexy? Too sexy? Guess I'm gonna have to say he can't watch it as I doubt anyone will be able to answer me without having watched it! I wish the BBC would give an age rating like channel 5 does with movies!

I'd say tape it tonight while you yourself watch it. If you think it's okay, let him watch it. And even if a few parts are a little iffy, just fast forward through them! My dad did that with me when I was younger and rented R rated movies.

But really, with the things on already on TV today, it's more than likely he's already witnessed sexual themes.

Can you tape it? Or get someone else to? That way you can preview it first.

I'm trying to decide whether to bother or not myself. From the way they're hyping it, it seems more like genteel softcore than real vampire.

The ratings idea is good. Suggest it to them.

Why not tape it and then see it it's OK with you for him to watch it? At 11 yrs old he's probably sadly not that innocent anyway. I can't imagine it being THAT bad.

i think you know its best to play safe .thats what the watersheds all about,if he doesnt watch it ,its not the end of the world, let him grow up slowly ,your his example and his censor,so cmon be strong send him to bed,it will be much more fun on your own.

well it wasn't that sexy in my opinion, but very gory. I can stomach most things but twisting peoples heads off and throwing them aside made me feel a bit queasy
