I'll guess its just another superstition ... go ahead and do what you want to do ... you can't believe everything you hear!

I've never heard that before. I always take my tree down the day after Christmas. I get tired of looking at it. Besides I don't believe in all of that bad luck good luck stuff.

NO, but your selling the season and yourself short. I mean it's just nothing until spring or Saint Patricks Day, that is when I usually come out of my winter funk. Sure it would be nice to get things all cleaned up if espically if you have a little extra time. But I say, hey, turn on the tree lights put on some free launchcast Christmas oldies radio sit back and enjoy.. Remember it's a whole year away beore the madness begins again. I have taught myself to seperate myself from the madness and get to the hart of the season. It may be easier for me being that I have two little kids, but they are off from school, the house is a mess and my back and legs are killing me and I can't take them anywhere to kill some time so I am strugling a bit myself. But I just try to remember this is about Jesus and my kids and everyone less fortunate than I. I will sit and be thankful for all I have and pray for all of those that do not. Merry Christmas and a happy healthy New Year to you and yours from me and mine, Billy Sweeney

Since Christmas Trees have very little to do with Christmas and more of Santa Claus how can luck be connected to a store conceived concept in the first place.

I've never heard it was bad luck. I've already taken all my Christmas decorations down before the 1st of the year many times. So have a lot of my co-workers....you have to do it when you get the "spare" time, or it will be up until Valentine's day.

Take it down if you want! That's why it's called a Christmas tree and not a New Year's tree.

The bad luck might be in leaving a dried out tree up too long and have it catch fire .

No. But if you believe that, burn it, if it's a real tree. If it's not a real tree, there's no luck involved.

Tell them it's your tree, you can do whatever you want - unless they're willing to do all the cleaning for you!!

superstitions are another form of belief. It is up to you when you choose to take your tree down.
