The most romantic would have to be Cloud Nine at the Antipolo Ridge. It's an hour from the metro but worth the extra travel. It has a panoramic view of Manila from the top (just like Cebu's Topps) and is perfect once the sun sets.

If you don't like the idea of a one hour drive, then I recommend Harbor View, Ermita.

Le Souffle at Fort Bonifacio or the restaurant next to the lobby at the Oakwood Hotel by Glorietta mall.

How is it possible to be romantic in a place like Greenbelt, with thousands of pushing, shoving, smoking people, most of whom just wander around wishing they could buy a drink.

If you want to be romantic, get away from everyone and be relaxed, the Oakwood is probably the better choice, the lobby is 6 floors up, and as soon as you're in the elevator, you're not in the Philippines any more.

I lived there for a while and it was like a sanctuary away from all the bullshit that all big cities have.

If you've got the cash, stay the night, they're one of the few hotels in this country that have linen sheets, as opposed to cotton, so much cooler and far more sensuous!

Try Vivere, its along Roxas Ave. Its an ideal place for dating. Also, try the restaurant inside the orchardium of Luneta Park. Its simple and a band play there. There's a pond beside and the walk going to and from the restaurant is a nice opportunity to talk and hold hands =). I also recommend Grappas (2) for good food and light ambiance, Nuvo (3) for the steak and wine and Pepato (1) for a little more intimate ambiance, all in Greenbelt, Makati.

Dusit Hotel in Makati. They have a nice Resturant and nice night club on the upper level where u can take your date with you, listen to music and dance the night away. Also Eastwood and Greenbelt has lots of places when u can have a nice evening with your date. Just go out and dont be afraid to explore.

Well, I think the "romantic places" which usually happens at a "romantic time" which is night time is at LUNETA. Where else can you see the most beautiful sunset with your most beautiful significant other in Metro Manila other than at the national park.

Good luck!

Mabuhay!

Rooftop cafe of City Garden Hotel Makati. Food not that great but good view of the city and you are way up from the noise and pollution.

Baywalk!!!!! Intrmuros is another option. But I think being romantic depends on the people enjoying the place.

i think at every corner, you will find a fishball stand. make sure to go out at night to eat at one of those. while you wait for the balls to cook, you can chit chat and get to know your date better. the romantic part is when you dip your fishballs in one of the 3 kinds of sauces normally provided, you and your date might at the same time dip into the same jar. a little awkward but cute and full of meaning. the fishballs are always yummy! did i mention they are very cheap? hehehe...
