I'm an older guy and this lady and I have been friends for over 40 years. We've seen each other get married, raise a family, and watched each other get older. We even worked for the same company. She's my dearest friend. I was wondering if there were other long term friendships out there?

I have an ex-boyfriend with whom I have had a long term friendship. We don't see each other often but when we do its non stop talking on both our parts to catch up with what is happening in each others life. I'm glad we found out at the time we made better friends than lovers and kept the friendship in tact.
