One of the greatest and mightest"ADOLF HITLER"
one and only one mistake he did was the invasion into Russia(in winter)otherwise we all would be talking german and would be nazies
From the first day that Adolf Hitler "seized power," January 30, 1933, he knew that only sudden death awaited him if he failed to restore pride and empire to post Versailles Germany. His close friend and adjutant Julius Schaub recorded Hitler's jubilant boast to his staff on that evening, as the last celebrating guests left the Berlin Chancellery building: "No power on earth will get me out of this building alive!"
Adolf Hitler, murderer of millions, master of destruction and organized insanity, did not come into the world as a monster. He was not sent to earth by the devil, nor was he sent by heaven to "bring order" to Germany, to give the country the autobahn and rescue it from its economic crisis
REVENGE WAS THE MOTIVE

You are sick. There are mad men and butchers in the walk of History of the World. Hitler will be on the top. Not a hero. Followed by Sadam Hussein. If Germany felicitates Hitler, then Iraq will do similar things in the future. Saddam Hussein is less maniacal than Hitler. Hitler was a real butcher. He did to the Jews what even Saddam did not do as a matter of racial discrimination. Saddam only quelched a rebellion from a certain quarter of his Country, But HITLER, was another story. He was a despot.

This is the story of all Dictators and tyrants, who start their governance with good intention. But once they taste power, it jumps from heart to head. Power and Money corrupts sane thinking. Because of this Hitler, a nationalist who led Germany from utter depression to become a great industrial power during his first 16 years of power turned to be a tyrant who went to the extent of exterminating his opponents and Jews in the infamous holocaust. When arrogance of power clouds sane thinking, path of self annihilation follows to destroy them. Eventually History buries them into oblivion. This has happened to Adolf Hitler,

No, we do not forget him, we remember him as a horrible criminal who started WW2 and murdered millions. Believe me I am really happy that I don't have to live in a world of Nazis now and also that Germany is a free country now where I can speak freely without being sent to a concentration camp.
greetings from Germany

are you defending hitler?
the man who killed eleven million human beings by means of systematic extermination called genocide? the holocaust means burning and that is exactly how these people died.
and these people were innocent. try eading hitler's "Mein Kampf" and see for yourself what his idea of lebensraum was. Are you trying to find sense in insanity. That is not possible!
how can you seek revenge on people who never did anything to you? and russia wasnt his only mistake. he made mistakes militarily by waging a two front war and the invasion of poland that perpetuated the war was intentional but was it not a mistake? you never invade a neutral country and this is why hitler is always compared to napoleon mainly because of russia.
hitler is someone who can study for your entire life and still not understand because when one tries to make sense out of insanity they become entangled in loophole and loophole

Ummmmm.... You've got a selective grasp of history don't you dude? Oh and for the record, Hitler made two major mistakes. He didn't carry out Operation Sea Lion. That was the other big one.

to plan war has always been a good way of boosting economy, american know this truth too, but to wish wellfare of his folk doesn't justify racist behaviour, slaughter of innocent organised in scientist way, will of domination of other countries... Of course lot of german support him full of desire of revange but this man was only full of hatred, ambitious and megalomania... on the longrun anyway such a politic couldn't last for long even he did strategic mistake of attacking Russia (not in winter at first but it came fast trying to seize such a big country). Of course he came in world innocent but he gathered during his life a record of illness and horrors. what happened to drive a man such a way?

seig heil? are you freaking kidding me. do you know ANYTHING about Hitler, or just the gibberish you and your idiot skinhead friends CHOOSE to believe, this is trying to be a reasonably respectable forum for intelligent discussion and the sharing of ideas, NOT a forum to espouse psychobabble and hatred. please read ANY respectable historical book about Hitler, maybe Tolands work for starts, or even Mein Kampf if you can decipher the gibberish therein

There's a quote by Shakespeare, in his play Julius Caesar, that seems to come to mind. "The good men good is oft interred with their bones, while their evils live on." Hitler is one of those people that the world will only remember his evil deeds. No one will/wants to acknowlegde his contributions to the German people or the world. It's a pity really, he did incredible things in his time, but those are long forgotten. So, in a sense, its not that they are forgetting their hero, but choosing to shun him based on public opinion. It's funny really, I wonder how many catholics choose to shun the Vatican for the crimes of Mother Church of old? Well, something to think about.

Hero to who? Germans today deny him and wish they could banish his name forever.
Whatever planet you're living on must still be in that 1933 Twilight Zone. get over yourself.....

There are Germans that remember him and honor him. But most of the Germans here now are just living their lives. Moving on and putting the past behind them. But there are the old Germans that remember and honor him.
