You could have changed the settings in Mozzilla firefox. That browser is used by many Computer techs. IE 7 has many problems. I use Opera. It's another free browser. If you want to use Yahoo games on opera or Mozilla firefox, you need to allow pop ups. Opera is easier to use. Here's the link. As far as the speed, even the slowest DDL it fine, you must have other issues, like memory, or a serious cleaning and a defrag.

The whole point of people suggesting Firefox is to get you out of the "it doesn't work so it must be busted, I can't do anything so I'll toss it" headspace.

Something goes wrong with Firefox? You can fix it. YOU have that power!
Something goes wrong with IE? You have two choices- reinstall it, or reinstall Windows - and lose all the stuff on your hard drive.

IE7's still a very flawed program - and will remain so for at least a year.

What browser you use is your choice - maybe you'll like Opera?

As for your computer running slow, you should be doing computer maintenance every other week (at least)

* Virus scan (I use AVG)
* Spyware / Adware scan (I use Spybot S&D, Adaware and a couple others - not that I've gotten one single infection since installing and using Firefox)
* Defrag (part of Windows)
* Diskscan (part of Windows)
* I also recommend clearing out the crud with Ccleaner
* Make sure you have a firewall - the free version of Zonealarm works very well.
* Secure your wireless connection

Yes, you have to take care of your computer. And all of the stuff I've listed? All free. And awesome.

I have a Mac and I have never had any problems at all with Mozilla, although I prefer to use Safari overall. Maybe your laptop needs some additional RAM.

My Ie7 did that too i called the company and one thing they told me to do was the following:

1. Go to tools and select Internet Options
2. Click on the advanced tab
3. Scroll down to security and uncheck "use TLS 1.0" (i think its that one but it might be the SSL ones too)
Good Luck and u might have to restart internet explorer!
