Well, to start off with...

I think I've longed to be a surgeon, at the very core of youth...

I'm pretty positive that I can stand the disastarous sights of blood, JUST NOT THE SMELL

What do you think, it /really/ takes to become a surgeon?

You can get used to anything if you really want to. Most med students have some trouble at first, I expect, with some of the sights and smells. You can adjust.

You can do it. Your going to put in all of that time studying and the stupid crazy intern schedules. You'll overcome the smells with vicks or perfume. Just make sure you dont forget to be a human being to your patients.

Get a nose mask or evev better spray perfume in the nose mask and put it over your face or you can just try handling the smell then you will get used to it after a while

Just rub Vicks Vapor Rub in your nostrils. You wont be able to smell anything but that.
