Hi Soso,

Bath is a superb university, I did mechanical engineering there.
It is a drag getting up the hill if you miss the bus though and you don't have a lift or your own car.

If you enjoy live music, go to the Bell pub on Walcott street, it is brilliant.

Hope you enjoy your time at Bath, I loved it!

Good luck

I wouldn't get too obsessed about 'how good is my university'.

A recent study published by the Department of Education showed that it is now the case that 38% of university students are studying from home at their local university in order to keep their debts to a minumum. What you should realise, as these individuals have done, is that what is really important is the class of degree you obtain not which university you have obtained it from.

I work as a chartered accountant and when I was interviewed for my first job at KPMG I asked the interviewer whether the university I attended would have any bearing on whether I would be eventually offered the job or not. She told me that KPMG were only interested in my A level grades, my degree class and the type of person I was. The university I had attended was, as far as they were concerned, totally irrelevant.

Bear that thought in mind when you commence your university studies. If you want to get a good job you will need to work hard and get a good degree. Its as simple as that.

Im studying architecture and although I decided not to go to Bath I was told it was a highly thought of and well respected university for it. So I guess it maybe for you too. Bath does seem to come high in the league tables.

It's not got any reputation of note that I am aware of, but any university can give you a top notch eductaion, most of it is just snobbery anyway.
