I'm going to assume you don't know much about royalty and that's why you are here or you are pulling our leg.
Okay yes, she's still a live and she's 80, she'll be 81 in April of 2007. So she was born in 1926. Her name is Queen Elizabeth II. And her mom wasn't Queen Elizabeth. In royal traditions they use old royal names, and there was a Queen Elizabeth back in the 1600's. Kind of like how when Prince William (her eldest grandchild) becomes King, he will be King William V even though his father is Prince Charles. And Prince Charles, will become King Charles VII if he does become King.

Yes, Elizabeth II, born April 21, 1926 and crowned Queen on February 6, 1953 (my birthday, different year though). Her son Charles, the Prince of Wales, is her heir. He will become King when she passes. She is a member of the House of Windsor (that is her family name), which is the current royal family. Her mother, Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, passed away in 2002.
