If they both work together, 2 hours 20 minutes. 2 hours, Sally will have painted half (3/6)and John will have done 2/6, the remaining 1/6th would take another 20 mins. Assuming all things are equal.

I just want to know.... Why is John painting the same house, did Sally mess it up THAT bad when she painted it. Maybe she should have taken a little while longer, then John wouldn't have had to spend 6 hours cleaning up Sally's mess.
