Hi there...my husband and I have been trying to conceive since the beginning of October now...I went off of the pill in May, began prenatal vitamins, and am in good shape. My cycle from August until November was 27 days. However, my last cycle was 33 days. I had my period begin on Oct. 26, then again on Nov. 29...I flew 4 times in November, so I thought this may have played a factor in it...also, I generally started in the mornings, but on Nov. 29, I began in the evening...so now I'm not sure if my period just went irregular/changed, or if it's going to be 33 day cycles now. Anyways, since the last start of my cycle, Nov. 29, a 27 day cycle would have started me on Dec. 25, and a 33 day cycle would start me on Dec. 31...today is the 28th, and I still haven't started. I took a test yesterday morning when I awoke, but it was negative. I'm wondering if anyone has any advice/opinions for me...if so, thanks, much appreciated! ~can't wait to conceive = )

big deal honey, it takes more than several months to get pregnant FOR MOST women. It took me 5 yrs to conceive. YOu might be to early to test as well.

I know its hard to hear relax and it will happen but GOD isn't gonna give ya that baby til you're ready and if you can't wait, go to your OB and get an exam and have your tubes checked to make sure they aren't blocked.

good luck, oh and after I conceived( 5 yrs of trying ), 5 months after my son was born I was pregnant again

Everyone's cycle is different. There is a myth that woman ovulate 14 days after their period begins...but that is only an AVERAGE and each month can be different. The other thing is that sperm can live inside you for up to 5 days.... The only way to know is to know exactly when you ovulate. There are several ways to know and some are more effective than others. Some can only predict before ovulation happens and some can only predict that is has already happened. The absolute best info I can give you is to go read a book called Taking Charge of your fertility by Toni Weschler. It will help you understand your body and all the myths about it. It will help you time when you are ovulating and the best times to conceive – or not! . It's about knowing your body and knowing when you are fertile or not. My husband and I tried for 1 year and had no luck..… We tried ovulation predictors , laying with pillows under me for 20 min. everything……the first month that I began using the book I realized that my timing was WRONG!. We got pregnant that very first month and I am now due Feb 2, 2007. You can pick and choose what you do with your info. Good luck and don't listen the all the myths! Even if you don't get into charting and everything....it will help you in so many ways!

When I was trying to conceive. I took a pregnancy test every month for nine months till it came up positive. My periods during that time were the most irregular they have ever been, varying from 24 days to 40 days... it is all because of the stress. Just relax, and try and focus on something else for a while. Good luck!

The waiting can be grueling, can't it? We are currently ttc as well for 5 mos and the 2ww is awful (2 week wait after ovulation). The only advice I can give you is to wait. Our dollar tree stores sell pg tests for $1!! I usually stock up on several b/c I have no patience :) If you can find them cheap, invest in some and take one every day or two. One way or another, you'll know in a matter of days.

Good luck!

Oh, and also I use fertilityfriend.com for charting while ttc. You may find it a nice resource.

Your cycle could still be irregular from the birth control. Wait it out and if you still haven't had a period by the 3rd or 4th of January take another test.

I went off the pill over 15 months ago and I still don't have a set your watch by period. Your body needs to regulate itself. Sometimes af comes later then other times just because of stress or anxiety. If you are later then any other AF then by all means test...

with all your dates and calculating you could just be let from the stress of all that! try relaxing, wait 3 weeks, take another test, if its still negative, go get drunk, have fun, RELAX, then come home and screw like rabbits.

Why don't you ask the One who said, "I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb?"

You are uptight about conceiving. You must relax. Try a prayer.

Father, in Jesus' name I ask that you bless me with a child. Thank you for all that You do for me. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
