I can't download the program to compress a photo on my work pc...would like to have a picture to send to my space / page.

If you have Microsoft on your computer, you can do it yourself. Click "Start" > "All Programs" > "Microsoft Office" > "Microsoft Office Tools" > "Microsoft Office Picture Manager". You can import the picture into there, then edit & compress it to several different sizes. Have fun!

Sounds like you do not need to compress the file you need to crop the photo to upload it to myspace. You do have a limitation on the total size of file you can upload, by croping the photo and making the file size smaller you'll have no trouble uploading. Or you can re-size the photo but you do not need compression software to do that.

Hi, Picasa resizes them and also adds to emails, it's 100 % free and a snip to use.

Download Winzip it will compress it for you. I believe it is free. At least it was years ago. Good luck!
