i saw it on tuesday. it was FAN-TABULOUS.... i wasnt expecting it to be that good because im not a huge beyonce fan and hearing all the drama surrounding her and jennifer i just thought it would be lacking. so you say, "with that thought process, why go see it?" well, i absolutely love the original soundtrack, i know every single word of every single song. i can listen to it over and over and over and never get bored with it. i hate i never saw the play and i guess thats what prompted me to see the movie. so go ahead and spend the $8. you will not be sorry.... and for anyone else that knows the original soundtrack, but never saw the play, the movie will make clear the songs...enjoy :-)

I saw it recently and it's a good movie. I thought Jennifer Hudson is pretty awsome in it. I don't think it's a waste of money if that's what you're asking.

I have not had time to see the movie but I have seen the stage play several times. It is great show I would imagine that the movie would be GREAT with the talent they have in it.

No, I haven't seen it yet. But movie critics seem to like, from the reviews I've been hearing.
