You can take a 1 hour ferry going to Iloilo then take an aircon van going to caticlan pier (3 to 4 hours travel) then boat ride to boracay (20 mins). But since you have an infant with you, i will recommend that you take a plane instead going to Caticlan due to bumpy road and long travel. The fare difference is not that much.

You can also take a direct flight from Bacolod to Boracay via Seair instead of you catching a plane, bus and boat ride.

This was my reply before to a previous Boracay question:

"From Iloilo to Caticlan
Ceres Bus has regular bus schedules, some of them air conditioned, from Iloilo to Kalibo and three times daily directly to Caticlan. GM Liner is another bus company plying the route Iloilo - Caticlan with air-conditioned buses twice daily in both directions. Alternatives are the mini-vans from Iloilo to Kalibo and another mini-van from there to Caticlan. Another alternative is to rent a taxi from Iloilo directly to Caticlan. The trip Iloilo to Caticlan takes between 4 to 5 hours.

Bus from Iloilo usually makes a stop over at Kalibo terminal to offload and pick up new passengers, then it proceeds to Caticlan the final destination and drop off point for Boracay bound passengers.

Approximately travel time from Iloilo to Kalibo 3-4 hours and Kalibo to Caticlan 1.5 to 2 hours."

You need to take the ferry from Bacolod to Iloilo and that's by land route in going to Boracay. If you decide to take the bus in going to Boracay, take an early one like 6 a.m. trip so that it won't be too hot for the baby and you be at your destination before lunch time. You could either take an airconditioned or non-airconditioned bus.

I wouldn't advise on taking a Vehicle for Hire in going to Boracay as it's cramped especially with the baby and the drivers are a bit reckless compared to bus drivers. Sure they go faster and quicker than by bus since they're non-stop but then safety wise, I'd go for the bus. There's also buses that are non-stop. Just ask at the terminal for the non-stop bus going to Kalibo, they all make a stop over in Kalibo before proceeding to Caticlan.

Enjoy your trip!

Take the Weesam express fast ferry to Iloilo City. From the port terminal go to the Ceres Liner Bus terminal on the national highway in Lawaann. Takes about 4 hours by airconditioned bus to Aklan. Cost P500 per person for the bus ticket one way.

We are doing the same on jan 19th and I would use a bus for safety reasons. You can try to get a aircon van but it may tight unless you purchase the whole van. Remember the Kalibo festival is on the 19th so if you are going anywhere near that day it will be crazy.
