On some of the websites I visit a few of the images are showing up as red X's and I don't understand why. I've tried deleting my cookies and everything, restarting my computer, nothing at all works though. If anyone has any idea on how I could solve this problem I would be greatful.

It is only happening on my computer though, no other users are having issues with the images.

Because they are non existent, or corrupted, or otherwise will not load.
If you think that the images are actually there and it's just you that can't see them then open your browser and click tools.
Scroll down to internet options, select advanced tab, scroll down to multimedia and check everything except "Show placeholders"
That should work, unles you have dial up in which case you should upgrade to a better speed as soon as possible. Dial up connections tend to freeze sometimes if the file is large and the server is far away.

This is usually due to the pictures no longer existing on the website, or that if the images are coming from a site other than the one you are looking at, they may have been removed. Another reason is that the image type isn't supported by your browser, the best way to check is to right-click the 'X' and go to 'properties', you should get a window that tells you more about the missing image.

It is a loading problem; image is not where it should be on the website. Nothing you can do unless you know the webmaster. You could email webmasters and tell them, but most will not even read your email. If it is on MySpace or a site like that, images could have been blocked for some reason.

It could depend on what type of file they are and what program created it. Your computer may not recognize that type of file. Also if these are regular site images, those particular ones could be fed in from another server and it could have problems.

To my knowledge it is due to the link to that particular file (photo) is broken. Usually when you re-upload the file that fixes this issue.

Either the photo will not load or the source document cannot be found (it has been deleted or corrupted).
