well, If I had that problem on a foreign system I would look at the source of the actual page and find the address the page want my browser to go to, then I'd enter it in the address bar and hit enter.
Sometimes these links are close to code that reads REFRESH, at the beginning of the page.

Which browser are you using?
If you are using internet Explorer try this:
- Close Internet Explorer.
- Open your Internet Options control panel.
- Click on the Security tab.
- Select/hilight the "Internet" zone.
- Click the "Custom Level..." button to open the Security Settings window.
- Scroll down the list of Settings to the "ALLOW META REFRESH" option and make sure it is set to "Enabled".
- Click OK in the Security window and then click OK in the main Internet properties window.
- Open Internet Explorer again and see whether or not the problem still occurs.

Try to hold "CTRL" on the keyboard while it is loading. Or try "CTRL" and "ALT". If not just use a different pr0xy like

If you can, try to check your settings on your browser. Since you did not state which browser you are using I do not know what to say. But if you are using Internet Explorer, look above the address bar or around it and look for little buttons and click and try on each one of them until you find settings or options. Make sure you don't have a pop-up blocker.

if your on an external proxy then your browser was more than likely set to run through this. Its hard to tell ho the network was setup with out seeing it but try in your browser TOOLS-INTERNET OPTIONS then the CONNECTION TAB then LAN in here you should find the ip to where your browser is directed to.Failing that i pretty sure you cant do anything about it..

Well, sounds like your employer has a good firewall set up. May not be anything you can do. Try proxy portals; websites that allow you to surf through their IP, not your own.
