I'd recommend Google Adsense in the beginning, depending how much traffic you have through your site. The more traffic you have through your site the more valuable your site becomes. Once your site has sufficient traffic, selling banner advert spaces will become easier. Use Google Analytics to help you track your visitors, it's very comprehensive.

Usually, to get ads on your website you have to sign up for a program like Google Adsense http://adsense.sitesell.com/java.html

or you can get a lot of traffic to your site and then get sponsors to place their advertisement on you site. However, you need to make sure you have lots of trafffic.
