Before you actually start playing, check your PC specs by going to
http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest

and check for the games like:
1. Doom 3
2. FEAR
3. Battlefield 2142
4. Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion
5. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas

Click on recommended, see whether your PC passes all recs. If it does, (I believe it will) you are good to go with any games for next 2 years.

Congrats!

I think the previous posters think that you want to benchmark it. If you just want to test it for yourself, then get a copy of:
BF2 - or BF2142
FEAR

Turn ALL of the settings up and see what you get. I know that FEAR can be tough on a system if everything is maxed out. BF2 is rather heavy on the specs, but I run it at 1024X768 with AA and all the bells and whistles with less than half of your PC, so keep that in mind.
Bottom line: There isn't anything out that that you can't crank up right now.

The Sims is somewhat relaxing. It takes up relatively extremely some your computing device memory yet its particularly good. additionally video games like Sonic and massive Mario are good. in spite of the undeniable fact that the Sims is my well-known :D

See if you can get hold of the free version of 3DMark from http://www.futuremark.com/products/,
that will do a pretty good test of your CPU and GPU, and give
you a benchmark which you can compare against other systems.
