It's a toss-up between the characters on the recent show Six Degrees and the characters on the recent show The Nine. Not one of the characters had any redeeming qualities which would make me want to continue watching.
I hope this is what you meant by "main characters"

The remake of Dawn of the Dead was pretty bad - I remember Nurse, Cop, Hateful security guard who at beginning of movie is all about himself, then at the end for no reasons shown in the movie sacrafices himself for the others.
No idea what the character's names were. The original Dawn of the Dead was great tho.
