How much heat will be released if 9.75 g of aluminum reacts with excess ammonium nitrate (NH4NO3) according to the equation
2Al(s)+3NH4NO3(s)--->3N2(g)+6H... enthalpy change is -2030 kJ
would you times 9.75 g Al by (1 mol Al/ molar mass of Al)=___ mol Al
then ___mol Al times (-2030kJ/1 mol Al)=____kJ

divide the moles of Al you get by 2, because that is the number of moles of Al needed to get -2030 kJ of heat off. once you get that number, multiply that by -2030 to get the heat produced.
