Songs played with a guitar slide?

ok so i learned to play free bird (lynyrd skynyrd song) and it uses a slide, and i was wondering what other good rock songs used a slide if any? and also, any suggestions on buying a slide?

there are loads of old blues tunes that feature slide..for my money though The Joker - Steve Miller Band is a classic with some brilliant slide playing...
