I hadn't seen or heard from my friend in over a year and all of sudden she started calling me all the time and showing up at my apartment cause she needed a place to stay. Since then, I've allowed her to sleep at my place many times free of charge even though I'm a struggling single mom. Now she has been staying with me for over 2 wks, pays about $50 a wk and buys her own food.
The problem: the studio is not big enough for two adults and a toddler. Some things she does-like being stingy with her food, leaving her things lying around and talking on the phone late at night-gets on my nerves. I told her all this and she says that I'm insecure because she has friends and I don't. I told she should go stay w/ her friends then. The reason I let her stay with me is that I had the impression that she had no where else to go but the girl has relatives and many friends. Now she keeps calling me from work and apologizing for offending me.

Tell her you will go house hunting with her and she was good company for a while but now you need to get things back on track in your own life

She may have many friends and family, but she probably already wore out her welcome with them, thats why she keep calling and apologizing to you. Why she don't got her own crib. She need to be ashamed of herself for trying to depend on a single mom. And you need to stop being so damn nice. She can't even stay in a hotel for 50/wk. You a good one, and I say. BETTER YOU THEN ME. MAYBE I DON'T HAVE A HEART???
