My brother recevied a ipod for christmas, and he couldnt put songs on it until we got home from downstate. But anyways, he threw the paper out that went with it, so he dont know how to put songs on it. I need good answers, becuase he is one to get pissed off at things and will walk away from it if he cant get to work. All of the songs he wants are in the windows media player if that helps any. Thanks a bunch.

go to apple.com and go to support. they have tutorials and things that can walk him through it,

if he gets pissed, maybe you'll have an ipod for yourself :)

does he still have the disk that came with it? that disk will convert your media player files into itunes. ipods take itunes. (itunes is just another name for the files) as soon as the computer has converted the files, he needs to plug his ipod into the USB port with the white cable that came with it. turn the ipod on and the puter should recognize it right away. he can check or uncheck the songs that he doesn't want on his ipod. and on the top of the screen it should say "updating ipod" and that's when the songs are going from the puter to the ipod. if he wants more songs on it that didn't get converted then he needs to click on file in the top left and click on import files. then he can pick the files and the itunes will convert them. to recharge his ipod he just needs to plug it into any puter. and it should do it automatically. hope i helped. apple didn't make them very user friendly, so it is kind of best to ask someone who has one:) like me:)

First he has to load all songs through iTunes before putting them on his iPod. Download iTunes here: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

Then...

Does he know where the song files are located on the computer(the file name, not what program they're in)? Follow these steps to load songs into iTunes.
-Download and open iTunes.
-Click File>>Add file to library...
-Find the music files (My Music?)
-Highlight all of the songs he wants
-Click 'Open.'

Then...

To import songs from your iTunes to iPod watch this video:
http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/windows/tutorial/segment102091b.html

------------

I know it may seem confusing, but he'll get it soon! If y'all don't get any of these steps, feel free to email me through my profile!

Good luck! :)
