There is no Ultimate Deck , I used to play the pro tour and no matter which deck was winning there was another that'd beat it. At one time it was the tolarian academy deck. I saw it coming and my first turn land destruction deck shut it down. They've since banned the academy saying it was too strong. I say let em keep it ,they'll base a deck on it and I'll blow it up. I usually work with decks with a specific theme with a few supporting cards to back it up, or pull my fat outa the fire if the theme fails. The key is to try to anticipate your opponents stratagy and have a counter stratagy in mind.

P.S. rare cards are nice but most good decks don't use many of em.

There is no real ultimate deck. my personal colour prefrence is blue, red is a close second. my all time favorite is my blue/red controll deck. its all about finding your strategy and how well your cards play in support of your strategy. a good sideboard consists of cards that can shift your decks strategy with the switch of a couple of cards.

i really cant say a good strategy since most people pick fitting strategys based on their own playing style. i prefer controll decks, some might preffer biggie decks, while others weenies (ive seen some really hard to beat sliver decks). give us a general archetype and we might be able to help you more.

There is no ultimate Magic deck. Everyones opinion differs on the best deck ever made. Some people might say Raffinity is the best while other say Oath of Druids is. You just have to look at all the various decktypes and pick your own ultimate deck. Mine would be Psychatog/Madness. Its so cool!

Yup everyone here is right, nothings best, decks full of commons can beat decks full of rares no matter what deck it is theres always a way to exploit its weakness and can usually be done with one or 2 cards

Chaos Orb, Chaos Orb, and more Chaos Orbs. You can never have too many in a deck.
