I have used Limewire for about two years now and I ahve never been told it was illegal. I put songs on my IPOD all the time from LIMEWIRE. I think if it was illegal we'd probably know. lol. Good luck. Go load up your IPOD with your favorite's. '-)

I Have used limewire in the past, it is not illegal because you are just sharing music with other people. So its like borrowing a cd from your friend , then putting it into y0ur computer and then giving it back. (so same concept)
and its not illegal, its sharing.

No- it's only illegal to download material that is copyrighted. Limewire allows anyone to post material, and some is copyrighted (and illegal to download to your ipod), but other material isn't protected, and is perfectly legal.

It depends on what you download. Some songs are copywrited and are illegal to share without it being payed for. Other songs are alright though.
