Well hopefully your friends and your family aren't that shallow, that they'd desert you if you became disabled.

You would more than likely receive physio therapy, they'd fit you with legs, you'd get counselling either from the war amps or someone who counsels disabled people and you'd go on with your life.

Look at what Terry Fox achieved with one leg. There are para-olympians who play wheelchair basketball, who ski, swim and do everything anyone else does.

Not having legs only handicaps you if you let it . It doesn't prevent you from going to school, working , marrying , having children, you just don't have legs.

Being disabled isn't the worst thing in the world , thinking that being disabled is the worst thing in the world makes one more handicapped than someone who actually is disabled.

My life would definitley change for the worse especially for the fact that I have a 4 month old baby. I would not be able to drive which is how I do most of my running around. I would have to get a pair of those prostethic legs because I am a very independent woman. I do have a very large family and I know that they would all be there for me and support me. They would never forget about me. I would try to never be annoying to them to make them want to leave me alone. This is a very sick thought and I hope God willing this never happens to any of us who are in good health right now.
