I imagine the method for verifying the results varies from area to area, but when I had mine, I had to wait 4 months to give my first sample and had to have 2 consecutive clear samples 4 weeks apart. Fortunately my first 2 were both clear and i suppose it was 2-3 weeks after submitting the 2nd sample that i had written confirmation that the procedure was complete. (NHS).

After submitting the sample, the clinic should be able to provide the results within 10 minutes. If you are wondering how long before he no longer ejaculates sperm, then that range can be anywhere from 2 weeks to a year, depending on his system and the frequency of ejaculations. Therefore, you should both still practice safe sex. Then every two weeks, take in a sample (hopefully, they check it for free...they should). After he's been cleared of containing anymore sperm, it's all down hill from there.
