I'm not sure. What do you think? I'll provide an answer once I get to read more from other people first.

Yes it does, Yahoo Answers is a marvelous outlit. Do you notice how many young people come on here? Some of the answers are better than psychiatrist can give, believe me. I think and reach deep into my brain and heart to help. It's not really a good standard to have a problem and no one to talk to, well YA has certainly taken care of that. I would like to Kiss the person who thought of this!!!! And the people are funny, naughty and brilliant. What makes you think???

In light of recent events...Freeing myself from the chains of sarcasm, humor, or any other foolish rhetoric, I'd have to say..without a doubt....Absolutely...In the same instant...It allows many people to come together in one place..Safely, and without prejudice...and voice opinions, Learn lessons, and sometimes..Begin beautiful friendships that may last A lifetime. Some of the participants are just so lost in the awesome resource that they can't get over the dookie in their lives to ask the questions they truly need answered. Instead..they answer questions with bitterness, anger, and even malice to make themselves feel better. God Bless..EXCELLENT QUESTION

Sometimes.
Some people on yahoo answers like to feel smart, so they think very carefully about the questions they ask. Same goes for answering them.

I believe so. As a matter of fact, to me it is evidence that someone DID think for themselves when they bring up a question.
Diverse input can help make a decision. We consult advisors all the time, from the professional to the lay person.
This doesn't mean we don't think for ourselves, but we enlist input to help us make a decision.

Yes and no.

It seems many are simply to lazy to find the answer using other sources that are readily available. (We're on the Internet for chritssake!)

On the other hand ther is plenty of insight into human nature and some damn interesting questions to boot!
