FYI the Central Park Conservancy site is wrong. Here is the correct info (from CentralPark.com):

Weekday Rates:
Adults $9.50

Hours:
Mon-Tue 10am-2:30pm
Wed-Thu 10am-10pm

Admission is $8.50 on weekdays, $11 on weekends
Skate rental is $4.75, locker rental $10 ($6.75 refundable on lock return). There are often long lines so get there with time to spare and if you have your own skates, bring them. It will save you a lot of trouble and time. It is entirely worth it.

go to the website...it's like 12 to skate and 7 more to rent skates. all in all about 20 bucks..which is a lot dude
