Were you invited?? JK.. 'course you were!! Anyway, they have fulfilled their obligation to you by extending the invitation, you are under no obligation to attend - though dropping by on your way to or from another party would be OK, too. But if you choose not to go, the circuit is complete, so to speak, and the ball is back in your court. Whatever your decision - Happy New Year!

No, you are never obligated to go to any party. I know I wouldn't want someone to go to any party I have out of obligation. I only want people to go who want to be there. But why don't you want to go?

Not really. It would be nice to go because they tool out the time to go to your party and sit and talk to your friends and whatnot, but you dont have to go if you dont want to. (I think you should go just to show consideration or check things out.) Now if you have already made plans that you just cant get around, then that is a different story, but other than that.... you should go.

No obligation. It's a party, not a formal function.

You are not obligated to go. If you have alternate plans or would prefer to stay home, just politely say "No, thank you."

No, why should you be? Just think -- what would you do if 3 or 4 of them did? Run from one to another? LOL!! Have fun whatever way YOU think is best. Just send regrets.

Not at all.
Spend your New Year's Eve and day doing what you want. It would be nice to go if you wanted to, but it doesn't sound like you are very interested.

You don't absolutely have to go, but it would be polite for you to attend. That person is probably expecting you to be there.
