They feel like they are macho standing up to a 4000Lb car but they are just showing themselves to be stupid.
The amount of deaths from pedestrians has gone up drastically I personally get off the road as fast as I can.
They don't usually give out citations if you hit a pedestrian and even if your drunk you never do time for running over someone. So no mater what the pedestrian looses in the end.

I was wondering the same thing during my Christmas shopping excursions. LOL!
They just stroll along like there's nobody sitting there with their foot on the brake waiting for them to move it.
