i was watching "night at the museum" and i got bored when they trying to calm down everything the second night. i think that that is a slapstick ending to a movie. Am I correct? Since i do not know what slapstick is, i would like a real scenario from a movie. the best description of slapstick wins 2 + 10 points.

if you study this above, then you will see slapstick in a lot of movies. night at the museum has a lot of slapstick humor in it. A lot of childrens movies have slapstick in them. everyone else has just listed the movies that were the first to employ slapstick. You can discuss slapstick forever with night at the museum.

Can't give you a particular scenario but anything like Laurel and Hardy, The Marx Bros., The Three Stooges are all considered slapstick comedy. I believe slapstick refers to physical comedy.

Suzy Q got it right. Slapstick is a more visual/physical form of comedy. Slipping on a banana peel or pie in the face as opposed to telling a joke or an awkward situation.
