I think he should get a real slow and painful death just like the one he inflicted on his people.

You are so ignorant man! Hang Saddam and you make him a martyr, a hero. Why? Because the truth, whether you like it or not, is that the US has illegally invaded a sovereign nation, set up kangaroo courts and murdered its ruler. Saddam is an awful human being who has done terrible things and clearly deserves to die a horrible death, but you are not the hand of God and Bush is no better than Saddam.
Find that hard to stomach? The truth hurts and it would be far better to let Saddam rot in jail. Then again, if you want to sort Iraq out why not just give it back to him he'd have it back to how it was before you made it even worse within the year.

All the Iranian terrorists. Saddam set their jihad back twenty years. The Bush Family Circus ruined that policy of President Reagan's.

why not just ask,"How many feel Saddam's martyrdom can't come soon enough?" because that is exactly what he'll be in the eyes of his followers.
even many Iraqies have stated it is too soon, and will cause more problem right now.
if you haven't noticed by now what a person believed in life, becomes stronger in death.

Frankly, he should have been hung over 30 years ago, when he ousted the President of Iraq in a coup and made himself dictator, but the Iraqi people were too tolerant of such things.

I don't think it's a good idea...
First of all, they want to execute him before his second trial even starts. Figure that one out...
Second, there are so many over there prone to "whacked" behaviour as commanded by their "whacked" clerics, that Saddam's execution will only give those clerics carte blanche to cause mass chaos.
And in a place like Iraq, really, what's one more death, even if it is Hussein?

I think we play into his hands by killing him. He still has followers and they will deify him. They should hold him in prison for the rest of his life and that by itself would be a hell on earth.
