Because of this, typical store-bought cheese in most American grocery stores do not have a strong enough odor to lure mice to their death via mouse traps. However, if you are adamant about luring a mouse, either purchase some well aged cheese (or European) or use peanut butter.

Typically if the food has a strong enough odor to be detected by humans than it will just about drive a mouse crazy.

not all mice like cheese. we use to raise them. some eat it & some don't. they also eat bread & yogurt. the yogurt is good for pregant & nursing moms:)
