my wife wants to go out for drinks with her coworker girlfriends

having been around to witness all this, it always involves her getting totally hammered and then dancing in a lewd fashion

why wouldnt a married woman choose to be home with her husband instead?

This is a very interesting question. I for 1 love to go out on a girl night with my friends. We drink we talk we dance we laugh. But we don't sit and chat with other men. In fact we are annoyed when men try to approach our party. We are there for the friendship and relaxation not a man. Now for a man I can understand why this would threaten them but in reality if a woman wants to cheat I doubt that it would be on a night out with her buds. To many people would know and that in itself would be dumb. So sit back let her go and be waiting up wearing some sexy cologne and a smile she will show you how glad she is to be home.

Are you some sort of domineering control freak? Let you wife have some fun with her buddies. A girl has got to let her hair down once in a while. If you don't trust her, then don't be married.

Remember, the dance floor is a long way from the bedroom. Don't worry unless she doesn't come home the next day.

Sometimes women need to be away from the home. Now you need to let her know she can go out and have fun, but to get hammered and dance in a lewd fashion isn't very attraction, especially for a married women.

Because she might need a drink and a dance! Hell, it's hard beint a wife and/or mother AND have a job and have to make sure the house is runnying smoothly AND have to go to work everyday and listen to a boss tell us with to do. Then we come home and Children are telling us with to do, then at night our husbands are telling us with to do. A sister might need a getaway.
What kind of person was she when you got married? Did you meet her at a bar? I ring and a cermony might not change the person.

Maybe she doesn't think you're fun anymore (I'm not saying you're not). Try a amiable talk and see if she can quit this thing that appears to be becoming a habit. Or make the house more interesting...you know, surprise her with something so nice, she won't want to go to the bar. Don't forget to act right and keep the atmosphere friendly and peaceful. It would help with the mood of things.

I don't see anything wrong with the hanging out with friends part (every once and a while, I'm engaged and have limited the amount of time I hang out at bars). However, does she get "hammered" each time she goes out? There's a difference between having fun and getting f*****up to the point of no return.

Shes working something out or trying to escpae something-e.g. motherhood, work ,being your wife,depression-who knows. Id hang out with her on one these evenings and wait till shes smashed and ask her when her inhabitions are down as to why shes doing this or whats bothering her. She may not tell you. I'd also be curious as to if she's being faithful. How late is she out? Put a GPS in her car and folow her some night and see whats up.

This all does not bode well. My first wife went through a simular pattern ,we went to counciling and still ended up divorced. She was distraught over having lost her dad and having a "mid life" crisis at 30.
Get the facts and then procede. I wish you luck

I don't know, I used to have the opposite problem, I'm the wife. I don't think a married wife or husband belongs in a bar without their spouse period...it's asking for trouble in my eyes.

Sounds to me like she would rather be somewhere else other than at home with a chauvinistic egotistical shallow man like you!!!!!
Do you go out and get hammered?
If not than maybe you married the wrong woman!!!

I agree with you. And the same goes for men. You decided to get married you need to act like your married. There's nothing wrong with going out every once in a while, but i believe you should go out as a couple.
