because parents are appreciated everyday, n not just once a year on a specific day..

Most of the Eastern countries have parents staying @ their Homes or next door or in reach.

And the concept of nuclear families has not yet penetrated deeply.

For them staying with parents or being connected (in reach) as long as possible is the norm.

So they dont see the point.. and there is the "Traditional values hold a higher value that an Imported Concept from west "

Same goes with the Valentine's day too.. Most places they arent popular either.
