I believe you have to obtain a license to own one. Which is going to be a lot of red tape since it is a wild animal. They are not as docile as they seem. They do get very aggressive.

I think Sloth are thought of a wild animals so you would probably need a licesnce you could ask someone at the local zoo or maybe a vet might know

Number one you dont seem to have an idea on how hard that is going to be to take care and number two chances are (depending on state) your going to need a permit to even buy one and then a second one to own it

Sorry, it's illegal to obtain/own one. Unless you have a license and are rescuing them, not buying them.
