What engine does your vehicle have? Is it the 3.0L OHV V6, and NOT the 3.0L Duratec 24-valve V6? I see and hear of this scenario FAR TOO OFTEN. Where does the sound originate from? Does it come from near the belt area, or the REAR of the engine, where the transmission bolts up? If it's from the latter area, you need to have your cam sensor & cam sensor synchronizer replaced. When this part fails, it sounds almost exactly like a belt squeel. This part is driven by the camshaft, for the purpose of supplying an input to the vehicle's PCM, indicating cam position (hence its name), in order to time fuel and spark to the correct cylinder. The easiest way to eliminate the belt, or anything it drives as the source of the noise, is to remove the belt temporarily and run the engine. If the noise still persists with the belt off you have your answer. Unfortunately, the parts I mentioned can only be purchased from the Ford dealer parts department. The part numbers are DA-2089 for the cam sensor, and 1F1Z-6B288-BA for the synchronizer. I suggest you have it replaced by a tech because these parts need to be timed for correct installation, failing which will result in an engine that runs rough or stalls, or doesn't start easily. It sounds to me like it is still the belt squeaking. That is most likely a worn automatic tensioner. If it's never been replaced, 9 years is definitely a good time to replace it.

Its the belt it might be to tight or not tight enough take some lubricating oil and spray it on the belt (not wd-40) if that doesnt work replace the belt again

the belt tensioner may be getting weak or have a ratcheting type operation. easy to check. use a 3/8 ratchet (and socket if needed). pull tensioner. if ok, it will seem hard to pull. if bad, it will seem very easy to pull or have a jerky non-smooth feel when moved. if it is ok, check other components (alternator, water pump, etc.).. for binding which means you'll have to loosen or remove the belt altogether. could also be a loose bracket, even a/c bracket too.

If you used a dirt cheap belt it could have stretched slightly. Otherwise you may have a problem with either a tensioner or a water pump.
