My fiance and I are ttc. my period was supposed to start on the 24th but so far nothing. I ovulated on the 10th and we had unprotected sex on the 9th. I have noticed that my nipples are darker than normal and the skin around them has little bumps on them. I have been more tired than normal as well. I took an HPT last night and this morning and both were negative. what could be going on?

i would say that its probably far too early to test correctly, the further your pregnancy develops the more pregnancy hormone u produce, at this early stage there prob isnt enough of the hormone to get a possitive or accurate result. My test didn't reveal a possitive result for around 9 weeks. some of my friends didn't get a possitive result untill they were around 6/7 weeks. its best to wait untill after you miss your period, otherwise the result is not very accurate

While wanting to be pregnant can cause pregnancy like symptoms I haven't heard of it actually changing your nipple color. I was reading about phantom pregnancies last night out of curiosity. It's sooooo rare for it to even happen unless you have been ttc for a long time. Webmd has a symptoms that the women experienced in they're "phantom pregnancy". Mostly it was late periods or absent periods, feeling sick, headaches, vomiting, etc... but no actual body changes. As far as pregnancy tests go mine wasn't positive until six weeks, and some women never test positive. Peeonastick.com can tell you different sensitivity levels for pregnancy tests. Maybe your taking one that requires too much HCG in your body than you have right now. Either way good luck!<3

You might be pregnant and it's too early to get a positive on the urine test. Give yourself another week and try again if no period. YOu might not be pregnant and the stress you're giving yourself about ttc is causing your "symptoms" or you just might be having a wonky period.

Go to the doc that is the only way you will know for sure I know you want someone to tell you for sure yes or no but we can't I will say those are signs and a pregnancy test can have false neg. so there is a possibility ( It happened to me 2X's ) I will tell you you need to go get a blood test to confirm yes or no and there is no other way.

Good Luck

You stressing your body out!! Stress will throw it out of it's normal cycle. Go to the doctor and calm down. If you are p.g. stress isn't good for the baby and if you are not at least you can get over it.

I know that you can trick your body into being pregnant, be careful of that-it may not be far enough along yet, or you may just be late-stress can do that.

it might be too soon for the pregnancy test to reveal if you're pregnant...go see a doctor and get his opinion...and next time have protection,,,

Maybe it's a sign that you should get married first.
