Is it illegal to mail prescriptions from the U.S. to Australia?

I'm studying abroad and I can't really find this information anywhere. The prescriptions I need are Topamax and Birth Control (no narcotics or anything like that).

no matter what they are you can't send them through the mail. Unsless you're one of those big drug companies.

Just mail them all they can do it take them away but there is no way of them finding out unless the box is leaking fluid but obviously its not. I live far from my mom and she mails me pills she buys in mexico. All we do is stuff it with cotton so it doesnt make so much noise. I think my mom got asked once and she just said they were vitamins.
