Is there, and if so, a physical explation for conciousness?

This question is geared more toward those who have an understanding or strong interest in theoretical physics, ie. atomic, subatomic, particle.

Conscious states include states of perceptual experience, bodily sensation, mental imagery, emotional experience, occurrent thought, and more.

All the above still occur during sleep or even in a coma.

Makes one think .... when are we "really" sleeping ?

Newsweek had a really good article on this question about a month ago. The cover had a picture of a woman's face with outerspace behind her.

Everything in this world, everything that is known can be explained physically including your conciousness. What is more important is ability to still have faith that all is created or designed.

yes conciousnes is everyhting it is who we are who we arent what we would like to be why we are here it connects us it disconnects us it is what we do not know it is what we know it is the higher force of which all life is controlled almost impossible to describe in physical words but attained from a higher calling a higher being of which life has pertaind to its great majesty all by itself it is physical but not attained tyhrough physical means in many eastern religions and philosiphies i have heard of it being the after life and were you go when you die it has been the major focus of most, if not all, religions everything is based off of its matter but nothing is based off of its matter i have attained it through hard meditation and study towards the higher forces it is pureness it is the seence of why we are here it is the best thing ever experienced by human wisdom it is the explanation to all we can catch glimpses of it here and there and certain peiople can connect to its majesty, jesus, buddha,noah,(possibly mohhamad),and ghandi,but still debates of whether it is there or not have been metaphorically been wared and waged and fought over in phylosophical meanings it makes no sense as to why we fight over it because instead of waging wars we could just share our wisdom on it and learn how ot attain it from better means. it was ghandis god, jesus' beliefs, noah's sight, mohammads visions, and mostly evryone whereabouts of being on this earth
