my 2007 mustang does a 1/4 mile in 13.81 at 101mph stock. the fastest i've seen in the web is 14.1 so.... i'd say the mustang.

The Mustang GT is a much faster vehicle, Silverado SS's aren't really that fast in stock form (14.8-15.1 quarter mile) anyway. I don't really like Mustangs, but no doubt it's the faster, and quicker, of the two (assuming both are stock)

Your trying to compare a Truck to a Car....how does that make any sense your question should be a comparison of say the Lighting and the Silverado.....the stang will be faster main reason its geared for speed not to be a pick up truck

I have a Silverado, I'm going to be biased and say the Chevy is faster, but by the time it reaches top speed the gas tank is half empty.
