When it starts to drain your soul, all that you have built through the living years, all that has made you grew stronger in those years. That is enough. (my personal experience)

Long enough is when that nasty little voice of malcontent starts whispering in your ear about how put-upon you are feeling.

THAT is long enough. THEN put your foot down and say that the line in the sand has changed positions.

You have to listen to that voice, otherwise you risk becoming a martyr... at least in your own mind, and that makes you lose both bargaining power and believability.

The length question depends on what you caught. For example, only the catfish that are 12 inches in length are long enough to keep.

And regarding putting your foot down, anytime is acceptable, but make sure you are not stepping in something first...

I've been wondering this myself. You get beating down until you think your wrong for wanting to stop it, wrong for speaking up for yourself. You can't take it, put your foot down when its too much to handle. Trust me, I have to do the same about a lot of things.

six inches is long enough. you should put both feet down to stand and one at a time to walk or run. say you don't want any more when your needs are met. hope this helps.
