its for a toshiba 120 i want to play games on it

There are external graphics cards, made for the PCMCIA port, but their maximum onboard ram is 4MB and mainly used for presentations.

So to answer your question, that won't happen. Alienware and Dell's XPS uses video cards which are 'upgradeable', in that you can buy expensive upgrade chips as they become available. HOWEVER, that's probably cheaper than buying a new laptop.

But for your Toshiba 120, that's all there is, sadly.

I don't think external graphics card is what you want. I imagine the transfer speed would be way too slow to play a game. A graphics card needs alot of bandwith.

there won't be an external graphics card. You cannot get one, since they don't make those, and will not make those. Thats why, when you purchase a laptop, it's different than purchasing a desktop, you need to get exactly what you want on it. So your basically screwed unless you get a new laptop that has a good graphics' card inside it already.
