You can get a wireless card for your laptop. (Not to be confused with a WiFi card that comes with your laptop.) A wireless pc card is sorts like a cell phone connection for your laptop. You pay monthly data fees, but wherever there's a cell signal, you have internet connectivity. Verizon Wireless has about 5 different pc cards (AirCards) to choose from. Like cell phones, you'll need to sign up with a 2 year contract. Check with your cell phone provider to see if they too offer wireless pc cards.
