hi there, first off computers do not loose much electricity. the highest amount of voltage is 12volts. also whenever the computer is not in use for a certain amount of time, it goes into sleep mode, not off which save electricity. to turn on back just press any key on the keyboard or touch the mouse. so your husband does not have to worry about the electricity bill. have a nice day.

most computers and monitors are energy star complient. That is to say that they go into a low power usage mode when inactive for 15-30 minuntes.
Just like starting a car there is factor of 'wear' in starting up.
Turning it off for the night makes some sense but turnin it off if your going to use it again within the hour doesnt.

Actually, constantly turning it on and off increases your bill! Secondly, the average PC only consumes as much energy as a 200 watt light bulb. I personally leave mine on all the time due to the fact that as the PC circuitry heats and cools when turning on and off, the circuit boards and components expand and contract. This can lead to breakdown of solder joints and componenets. As a PC tech for 20 years and an electronics tech for 30, I have seen many cases where heating and cooling of anything and everything from TVs to stereos takes its toll on equipment!
JOEL: you might think your a techy but voltage has little to do with how much power your PC uses! Its all in the current it draws!

Alhamdulillah I truly have by no skill seen this take place. maximum sisters i understand are knowledgeable, and tremendously intelligent, and this could be a connecting factor with their husbands. in the past they have little ones, and their time is spent attending to appreciate eachother, many times the 1st actual bond is in the time of the innovations. in the past the middle even. i do no longer think of my husband and that i may well be as close at present if i grow to be uneducated, we'd stay in 2 diverse worlds. Alhamdulillah he has consistently been prepared to proportion what he learns, and vice versa. He taught me what he's conscious of programming, and that i taught him the thank you to coach a slide and use a microscope. Neither individuals has ever withheld understanding in concern of being "outdone". He and that i agree that we've been created by utilising Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala as sensible, thinking human beings; why might every physique decide directly to waste this blessing (astaghfirullah)?

Yes, Startup and shutting down the computers are harder on it. It is much better to leave the systems on. Here is the energy saver... Turn your monitor off. That is what uses the most energy. I leave my computer on 24 hours a day, unless I am going to be gone overnight. My wife will leave her's on all day and turn it off at bedtime - your choice. Hope this helps...

It takes more energy to restart the computer than it does just to put it into stand-by or just let it go to sleep and besides it is not good for the computer to shut it down and restart it a lot. It will wear it out and just like a TV it will wear out the monitor.
