♥ I have noticed that lately with the men in my family. Don't get me wrong they are loving and like to do things for other people but sometimes they only think about themselves. I think it is normal. And some women only think of themselves. Everybody does it at least once.

Thats one hell of a generalisation. Maybe it's just the men youre comming into contact with ?
It may appear that many men are selfish but it's only because the personality type that's selfish is also loud and attention seeking too, so they tent to stand out in the crowd, and we all get tarred with the same brush.
I'm a quiet shy man, and I slip by unnoticed... It's an odd position for sure, I'm jealous of thise loud brash guys, they seem to get the good looking materilaistic girls, and the high paying jobs, but then sometimes.... I thank my lucky stars that I actually understand simple things like empathy and sympathy, which are concepts seemingly alien to those other guys, also on the rare occasions... I get to sleep with girls who know how to laugh and screw at the same time.

They don't.
It's like saying "all black people are evil" because you've been mugged by one man.
Or "all German's are nazis" just cos Hitler was.
You can't MASS generalise because of your own personal experiances. Ever stopped to think that maybe it's not just MEN but THOSE individual men that are so selfish?
After all heartbreak I've been through I could REALLY stick it to women (no innuendo intended) and call them every name under the Sun. But I don't because I know they're a very small minority in the mass majority of lovely females.
Get some perspective.

So you know someone who is self center. I too am self center. I center myself around my wife. I know Jesus is first and my wife is second. I make her my world and it is my job to be there for her when ever she needs or wants anything. I wasn't like this when we first meet 35 yrs ago . I have seen her unselfish love and I just want to be part of that always. So not ALL men as truly self center. Just the uneducated ones.

they only do as much as women think of themselves. just because two people want something at different times does not mean that they are selfish or dont care. give himn a break.
