Nostradamus died in the 15th century (506 years ago) yet half of his predictions has come true since & are still happening up to this day (2006). Does life has a meaning if thats the case? Why separate the good & the bad if destiny is already in front of us?

No - it means that if someone writes a large number of extremely vague "predictions" about death and disaster that are then mistranslated (often dilerbately ), people will seek to connect meaning between that prediction and the events of our time.

I'm still trying to understand whether his predictions are true or not. Most of us tend to dismiss his predictions as meaningless, jumbled verses that nobody can comprehend. I could imagine the frustrations in the faces of so many people who tried to interpret his verses through the centuries. Even myself felt a lot of skepticism on his predictions.

But then, I found something fascinating and worth giving some thought:

In Nostradamus' period (the 15th century France), America haven't been discovered yet. The whole Middle-East is nothing but a vast desert inhabited by primitive, nomadic, camel-riding tribes dwelling on tents and mud-houses, who herd goats and sheeps to survive.

How did Nostradamus knew that the Middle-East would play such a huge role in the future times?. Why is it that so many of his predictions refer to conflicts and tumultous events in this region, and that those events shall have profound effect on people's lives on the whole planet?.

Is it mere coincidence or just a wild guess by Nostradamus?.

You're wrong! Half of his predictions didn't come true, not even close to that. He came very close in his descriptions of a few future events, but certainly didn't describe them in detail.
Writers have simply exaggerated some weak facts to sell stories and books, because people always want to believe that someone has, or had, the ability to see into the future.
You're better off studying the universe and it's awesome mysteries, than nonsense spouters like Sylvia Brown, and Nostradomus, unless you just need something to pass the time.
Try reading the books of Carl Sagan, Steven Hawking, Einstein, etc., these will open your mind to incredible TRUE things you never could have even imagined.

I believe that our future is mapped out. I also believe we are given many rodes(choices we make). So our death is mapped and it depends on what rodes we take to get there some are short and others are long and winding, some even turn back to the main rode and you take another rode. Hope this helps or gives you what you wanted.

His prediction of the world ending ten years ago didn't come true and I don't know how he could predict anything after that.
